Evaluating log files

In OLAT, there are several log files at your disposal (depending on your user rights):

Administrator's log file (personalized/activities of course authors) . This log file records the activities of all course authors (which modifications from whom during a course?).

User's log file (anonymous/activities of users). This log file records the activities of all guests in your course (anonymized, for statistical analysis).

User's log file (personalized/detailed activities of all users). This log file is for system administrators only!

OLAT log files are available in two different formats:

OLAT log format: This option provides log files in OLAT's own format.

Apache log format: This log file features the Apache log file format. Therefore, it can be processed by means of log-file analysing tools without conversion (Analog, Webalizer, etc.).

Further options: the indication of the evaluation period as well as the possibility to delete log files after archiving.
