Display of a HTML page within an iframe

In the drop-down menu With welcome page? you have two possibilities:
«No, start content immediately. »: By clicking on the course element its content is displayed directly in the OLAT content area.
«Yes, please display»: By clicking on the course element an interim page will appear along with a start button in the OLAT content area.

In an «iframe»: This setting helps you to determine if this HTML page should be integrated into the OLAT page or if it should be presented in an embedded frame («iframe»)
Embedded frames («iframe«) resemble single browser windows, however, they are part of the initial window's HTML page.
Advantage of using «iframe«: you can show any content in OLAT (e.g. complex web pages in nested frames, mathML etc.).
Disadvantage of using «iframe«: your content might appear along with its own scroll bar.

The page last visited remains: This setting is only of interest if you want to assign several sub-linked HTML pages to this course element.
«Yes, along with a link to the welcome page.»: This setting is used to keep track of the page last visited if a user navigates to an other course element in order to get back. This enables the user to carry on with what he did before. However, this also means that clicking on the course element will not get him/her back to the initial page. This setting offers you the link Home page in the contents area to get you back to the initial page.
«No»: After choosing this setting the page last visited will not be available anymore. This is default.
«Yes, without a link to the welcome page.»: If you want to offer a link to your initial page by yourself in your contents please select this setting. OLAT will then no longer display an automatically generated link.
