Description of log file entries
Users with the right to archive (usually course administrators) can save a ZIP file (e.g. CourseLogFiles_2005-02-11_02_01_57.zip) in their personal folder (Personal folder -> private -> archive) along with those log files.
This ZIP file contains the files course_statistic_log.txt and course_admin_log.txt . If your OLAT authority is set accordingly it will additionally contain the file course_user_log.txt to be dealt with elsewhere.
Please note that in the file course_statistic_log.txt course participants are anonymized as follows:
Each course participant receives a number (e.g. RANDOM-25537624) generated at random; this number remains unchanged within a course. Therefore, you can reconstruct a course member's activities within a course, however, this will not be possible for another course since that participant will then receive a different number.
